On Monday, Musk started a poll asking X users to vote on whether "America should liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government". Quote from BBC news.

Now, if someone on here asked that we could pass it off as a joke. But Musk is a powerful man with a government position who has the ear of the president. He's already shown support for far right extremists here, including ones with criminal records for violence.

To me, this sounds like a direct threat to another sovereign state, and given his status, one that should be taken seriously. If Putin announced that we'd put the military on high alert.

So is it time Musk made a grovelling apology and has his bottom smacked by the American diplomatic service and told to stop beinga manchild?

Good grief, just ten years ago, it was the left saying that the right couldn't take a joke.

He didn't make a threat. No sane and intelligent person could read a goofy poll on a silly social media platform as a threat.

I'm tempted to try to go further, but I shouldn't have to explain how jokes work.

Now, with all that having been said, the UK government IS tyrannical. Their legal and medial systems signed the death warrants of no less than three small children (Charlie Gard, Alfie Evans, and Indi Gregory). They did so even though their parents wanted their children to live and multiple foreign governments offered to take and treat them; Italy made Indi Gregory an Italian citizen so they could take her and your government would not release her. If allowing little children to die because a gang of clowns in white wigs pretending to be judges think they know what's better for a child than their parents is not the most despicable, deplorable, vomit-inducing act of tyranny imaginable, I don't know what is.

Musk is pointing out that there are Rape Gangs who rape young girls and women. He provided transcripts of one such trial which were horrible. A 13 year old was raped by 6 men. The transcripts revealed terrible details. We know in the US that some are trying to fight against this in the UK. We see that they are arrested and incarcerated for longer than many of the Muslims (there, I said it) get in prison. Many are let go as supposedly a child can consent. Given all of this he means to help those in the UK trying to stop this even if some in the UK government and court system are not phased by what is seen as a real issue.

If you want to destabilize a country in the middle east, they are your man. If you want to make your NATO partners pay 2% on their military, they are your man. If you want to bitch about the results then more than likely that is due to poor decision making in the leadership and has nothing to do with the foreign service.
