It's actually safer then ever now. A bit of a down turn in 2020 with everything closing but since then continuing the safer trend.

Let's put it this way alaska is the most dangerous state in the United States. It's because it's so remote and economy brutal that crimes happen 2x as much. Even still it's far from what movies or the news tell you what everyday violence looks like.
