Do you believe that a human's life is becoming less valuable & cheaper?

Looking at the world wide crisis, wars, crimes and everything negative happening in this world, i have realized that a human's life is becoming very cheap, just a number!

A lot of people had stopped caring for others, the word death is becoming something normal not shocking anymore...

Even your close people when they die, you bury them or cremate them and continue with your life as usual, no expressions, no feelings and if there was some feelings, they don't last for a long time!

The world is becoming more miserable, a sad place to live in, but i believe that the good people will never surrender to the power of darkness!

... You do know what we used to calculate for how many people would die anytime we built a new large structure right? Or the monthly casualty rate in mines.. or any number of other horrific facts of human life in history. Objectively speaking we are living in what is probably the best time in human history. There are obviously room for improvement, as you pointed out, but you need to recognize just how BAD we used to have it.

Yes but these days, it's just so much, back in the past there was some terrible things that had happened to people but how the others had reacted was totally different than how people reacts today...

Yes and no. People dying back then was... normal.. to be expected.. Its not truly the same today. You can't have people march into mines to breath coal dust, work over vats of chemicals that burns their lungs or have children climb through machinery in factories. Life has a very different standard today.

And I am just using it as an example. People live longer, live happier etc.. There are fewer crime and you have more time to do more things in your time away from work. Life has vastly improved by pretty much every metric.

Better than the dark ages yes, but not better from the golden era which has extended from the 60's till the 90's

Better than the 60's. Better than the 90's. Granted, they had the privilege of not living in a screwed up economy but that is not the end of the world. Objectively we are living in a better world today, you just have to look past the rose tinted glasses and realize it to be nostalgia rather than the grass being greener on the other side of the fence.

All we can do is individually try our best with the way we treat each other.

But what's not clear to me is that why would a person completely sabotage one of their closest relationship with someone who they spent practically a year of building and just throw it away.

Are you so numb too that relationships don't matter to you anymore and then you are only just part of the exact same thing that you are asking about?

No. I MIGHT have thought that before the pandemic. But the pandemic redeemed my faith in the overall value of human life. I do think we as a society are losing our ability to connect with eachother though

Compared to all the negativity in the world, do you think that the numbers of good people are good enough to effect the power of negativity?

Without a doubt. To quote Ronald Reagan, "evil is powerless when good is unafraid". There is evil in this world. But it CANNOT defeat love. I think most people want to love. I just think there are a lot of mechanisms that prevent people from doing so. This is why my faith is so important to me. It reminds me to love without judgement.

Sadly yes, who to blame? I really don't know what had happened, we just felt and saw that everything had changed suddenly, they made these changes slowly slowly through the years until everything we saw and were taught about had changed!

I hate to say it but I wish the world would go back in time to 9/12/2001. There was so much love going around. Everyone was doing everything they could to help out. It was like we were one big family. If i remember correctly, crime rate was down too

Back in the good old days, a human life was priceless and not only the family cared about their deceased, also some strangers had participated in the funeral!
