I prefer animals over humans but... I gotta admit yes. Humans are still top of the chain. Rightly or wrongly. I mean... I like my food so I can't say not killing animals is wrong cos I'm gonna enjoy my chicken and beef. Even if I also like chickens and cows as animals. But if you kill a chicken the other chickens either don't care, don't think about it, or think "phew it wasn't me". You kill a human... there's a whole lot of people who are sad. Family. Friends. Neighbours. Hell even strangers get sad hearing about people killed in a plane crash, shooting, or dying of the Flu.

So yeah... just because of the way our minds work and our ability to think and feel... it is so.
