That is what I get from the teachings of Jesus when he was on earth - Jesus tried to convert terrible people like tax collectors and people who were unfaithful to their husbands or wives. The average person would want to throw them in jail and torture them for their crimes. Of course if somebody hurts a child they should suffer immensely before they are given a chance of freedom and if they are a danger to the world - they should never come out of prison.
