It depends.
Believing in yourself is fine and necessary to boost your confidence. But when it becomes arrogance and conceit, that's where the trouble begin.
I believe it's necessary to believe it to make it, but don't drink your own Kool-aid.
I'm not big on any belief in myself or loving myself or I don't know what myself. self. self. Because it looks like self. self. self. in a vacuum. I'd trust more moving to find nicer environments, nicer people around, better external influence. As it decreases the risk to become a self machine happy with itself. self. self
On that matter, I generally disagree with the saying "if you don't believe in yourself, no one will". As I believe it is true only when para-dropped in terrible surroundings. Like surroundings composed of people addicted to the self. self. self.
love yourself and accept yourself... when you feel comfortable being yourself the rest like natural confidence and believing in yourself come by default...
but it always starts with you accepting and living yourself as you are...
and for me it isn't a step... without it you can't be truly yourself...
I don’t understand the question
I mean, if you don’t believe you can do it, none of the other steps matter because you won’t take them, right?

It's more nuanced than that. Because it can come off as lying to yourself if you know you can't do it but you just believe you can. When you believe in yourself, you must have a reason why and if that can't be answered, there's no reason to.
The greatest step would be getting inspired but how depends on what interests you. But no one else can tell you what interests you but yourself. That's why we need to explore to know what you like the best. "If you feel like giving up, remember what originally inspired you." (I got much quote from a kid's show)

Well... I can tell you that it's definitely one of the the largest steps.
Is believing in yourself the greatest step, or does it take more credit than it deserves?
