Sure. The United States of America is a nation that has a set of cultural values that are established in the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and the Federalist Papers. These writings are based on Judeo-Christian morality which allows for other cultures to somewhat co-exist within our nation but influences them to adopt to our model and integrate into our society. The principles of law and governance center around that Judeo-Christian standard of morality and associated European philosophical traditions. This established cultural model has provided the framework for America to become the most successful nation in the history of the world. Thus it is in American's interest to maintain that framework and protect it from infiltration. As was stated at the unveiling of the Statue of Liberty in 1886, "There is room in america and brotherhood for all who will support our institutions and aid in our development. But those who come to disturb our peace and dethrone our laws are aliens and enemies forever." If you understand American culture it's pretty easy to understand what she is saying and confirm that she is right.

This is why in the Declaration of Independence America’s founding father start by addressing our God given rights provided under the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God.
