they were ready for it and did exactly what they had planned to do. they were warned well in advance of the attack, so what probably was a small attack with no casualties, turned into a massacre. the jews killed everyone! this was the plan from the start and then they capitalized on it when hamas took credit.

if i had been netanyahu, knowing what he does today 2 years ago, i probably would have killed everyone quickly. they can get away with it still without repercussions, but dragging it out for 2 years is a good way to display the wrongdoing and say fuck you to anyone with a conscience

After a measured military response to the attack they should have held back hence demonstrating moral superiority, but kept the threat of more hanging over Hamas. I'd have used a tit for tat policy, one missile for one missile no more while keeping a path to the negotiation table open.

I think if mexico did that on the southern border, there be a war until the other guys are taken out. That is, if mexico killed a bunch of important people in one blow and took hostages.

I think they are doing what they have to.

For the children and women, they could... or world could, extract and take those people in. I met a Palistinian that got out long ago to Jordan... probably because parents have $. She is doing well and making a life but longed to go back, knowing she cannot.

What the kids are suffering through there makes no sense for them or israel.

Personally, I had assumed a more sophisticated military response from the IDF. Simply bombing and bulldozing everything flat helps nobody, least of all the remaining hostages. A few even got killed by IDF soldiers shooting everyone that moved.

They’re not committing genocide. Genocide or ethnic cleansing as you liberals like to put it is trying to kill an entire sect to extinction just because they’re a certain race or sect.
