Have you ever had a friendship with the opposite gender as you that you trusted implicitly, then they turned on you?

Some people you tell things to, not bad things, and you trusted them only to have them wrongly accuse your mindset many months later and use what you told them against you?
Since overexplaining yourself doesn't change their thoughts, and they have already made up their mind about you, you have no choice but to let them believe what they want to, which makes them feel that they are right about you.
