We were out of the country 5 weeks.
Just came back, called mom, she said egg prices down to $250 a dozen. Gas price same at $297 a gallon.
we did get groceries, doesn’t seem particularly too crazy.
naturally, most things go up slowly. Just have to learn to budget.

we also don’t buy junk … so our groceries are not too bad. We probably spend more eating out or ordering out.

I know we drove in Normandy 2 weeks ago. We paid for gas.
We also drove all over Europe 3 years ago. We also used electric car. That helped with using less gas.

We budget. Make our own yogurt from milk we get from the neighborhood farm.
We get our family from the neighbors $500 a dozen.
We eat very very basic.
fruits, veggies.
Nothing in the middle of the supermarket (cookies, soda, chips)
We also make our lentil beans, pasta…
Having this structure has helped us with our budget and eating/living healthier.

Pasta, sure in the middle of the market. The sauce as well.
Pasta we eat once a week. Rice is cheaper. We are trying to eat less carb so that helps.
We worked out some numbers…. Bread comes out to be more expensive than pasta. Pasta more expensive than rice.
We just learned to budget… so we focus on what we can do… not complain about what is going on in the White House.

I agree if you look at it like how much I make and how much they cost.

But I also disagree because the energy it would take to grow wheat turn it into bread, grow animals kill them butcher the meat and make a sandwich that would take way more effort time and energy then it take me to go to work make 10 bucks go to the store buy a sandwich and eat it...

We see money as potentially being anything because we have put value on everything based on its supply and demand... we live in very abundant times when you step back and look at all we truly have to be grateful for. That's what I think about when I spend way more money then I'd like on things I'm just going to consume and need again.

Everything is expensive, so I no longer care. I could probably save a little on groceries, but honestly, it's one of the places where it's actually worth buying quality. As bad and as stupid as things get, I'm still eating decent food.

Prices of some things have gone down. Eggs, meat, and bread are less expensive. Prices of most things probably will never go back to where they were BB (Before Bidenomics) but when Biden was president every week at the supermarket was an adventure.

Yeah, I remember when $20 could get you a few good grocery bags.. Now its barely gets you half a bag.. But people can still shop smart instead of overindulging..

I understand but you have to understand that our food doesn't come in the same size packaging as you have in the US. Food portions are way smaller here then in the US. I honestly think it would be good for extremely overweighted people over there should be send here to lose weight😂 They definitely going to be starving here with our food portion.

I think every major store (such as any store eligible for EBT) needs to be required to list their profit margins next to each item they sell. I know for a fact a bag of oranges could cost $3 instead of $10
