How many houses do you have?

I think it's very reasonable to buy 10 houses, rent out 9 of them, and live off that money without working. What do you think?

I think you have a good plan very wise plan. For many reason. I dont know where you live. Or if you get on line in the day.

If so you will see adds. For getting equity out of your house. Basically it's a scam for you to sell your house. New roofs. For. Seniors new windows new solar. And its for seniors only.

It to is a scam for seniors it's basically getting information on seniors owning a home. They're being targeted and there is a list being taken

And in your city, you will see new apartment complex is going up everywhere. And it's because the government is trying to buy people's houses. If they can keep people all in one general area and a three story condominium apartment building they have better control of them

If you fill out the information saying yes, you want a new roof for free or for little dollars. They are making a liston what homes to be purchased in time for less than they're worth because the more homes the government can buy more property they own. The more apartment complexes can go up. Abd it fits in to the plan they have with us the little people. AI is going to be taken over. People are not gonna have any money. The government is going to have to give people money and is taken. Keep everybody in one area a big apartment complex then it will cost them less money. Since covid on line gambling. Through games of every kind
Has gone crazy. You can play the games, but they never pay. You put money into the games, and they never pay you. It's a big scam. The IRS is the people that own those games in that are cheating everybody.

Like I said gambling on the internet is against the law so what is really going on unity is the people that own the games are bootleg the games. And unity is the group that runs the irs. It's not our government. But anyway, very smart idea. I used to own two I sold one

Sure if you can afford 10 out of the gate. Most can’t afford 1 house. But yeah, you just described the whole premise behind being a landlord. Many versions exist of that type of scenario you described. Some make more money at it than others.
Another would be to buy a whole building, or an old motel/hotel, or other multi-family dwelling, to renovate & rent out to generate income, and hopefully make enough to hire an on site manager to spare you from the messy work of managing it. That would certainly work, but you'd need money to begin with, which is the hard part - making money when you already have money is easy. Most people in that position started out with a lot of help from the bank of mum & dad and/or back when it was easy (even the younger ones are probably approaching their fifties by now).
But yes, I only have one, and as long as I live fairly cheaply, the rent from that will already pay for me to travel abroad and not have to work all autumn/winter (several of my other friends also rent out their houses back home, while they spend their lives travelling around in their campervans).

I've got 25 houses, and part ownership in a hotel and several B&B's. You don't "live off the money" in such investments. Then money is constantly being spent on upgrades, deals and new properties.

This is real life, not Sims 4.

I have 4 although I live in one that is not mine. 2 of the 4 are shared with my brother. The rent doesn't provide enough for the expenses to be honest. It works out almost even. 10 perhaps BUT having to pay them off requires a lot of capital that takes a long time for actual working people to accumulate while those with that already have tended to rely on the labour of others for their wealth and NOT worked for it.

Bought the flat in '94, first house in 2011, inherited his parents place then found millions under the floorboards

My late antique dealer had 60 apartments, took her 25 years to buy the 10 townhouses and convert them
First was £5,000, last one was £250,000 but now worth £10M each

Farmland is even more profitable and a better real estate investment in EU, because of subsides. 150 ha farmland generate more money than 10 houses and cost around the same, if you can buy it. It's not that easy if you aren't a farmer.

I guess if you got the money but I feel that too many houses. Also I think it would cost more than you be making. What happens if some houses are not being rented and you have to keep them maintained.
