I don't mean he wants to end the crimes, of course not, he wants to end the punishment for those crimes. A misdemeanor is generally defined as a crime punishable by 12 months or less in jail. This will mean that it's totally okay to steal cars, rob people and homes, beat people up and of course shoplift. This laissez-faire attitude is why 12 Walgreens packed up and left San Francisco. The citizens were outraged by this because they relied on those stores. But between the vandalism, graffiti and theft, you can't blame Walgreens for leaving. I guess when the smoke settles all that will be left is the government stores with empty shelves. 👍👍👍👍👍👍🌽🍗🍞🍠

I saw a NYC real estate broker being interviewed. She said the real estate agents are excited about all the listings they're getting, but unfortunately, they don't make a dime until it sells and nobody's buying.
They are moving to Philly. Thats why I can't move home. Bit Philly has been a black majority city since 2020 amd in decline since 1960. They have 5 years before e they also move to Texas.
It's not good for New York, but Florida will welcome the influx of new money and expanded development that New York's mistake will bring to our state. If these Democrat cities keep driving away all their money, they're going to suffer immensely, but Florida is going to be filthy rich because of it. Lots of new houses and commercial property here in Florida. Bring your checkbooks.

Yep, even the middle class business owners will move out of New York likely to Florida, because they won't be able to stay in business if everyone is robbing them. Florida being a law and order state, with no state income tax, and very friendly business climate will be very appealing for small businesses looking for a place to relocate as they escape hoards of shoplifters. You don't have to be a billionaire to see the writing on the wall. You could just be a small shop or restaurant owner netting $100K-200K a year.

i don't know what "ending misdemeanors" means exactly. does it mean they stop punishing "misdemeanors"? or instead they just remove the category to make these things full blown crimes to punish them harder. if it was the latter, i'd agree wiht it. cause the only way to reduce a number of crimes is by punishing them more severely.
If there's no punishment, there's no crime. This is a stupid idea. NYC already has lots of problems. This would make things worse, which I didn't think was possible.

@frysauce The same here in CA with Gov. Nuisance, basically destroying what-was- the most beautiful state in the country. I fear going to San Francisco anymore. The well-to-do leaving, because of being raped and plundered for the benefit of the illegals and the criminals, and and am sure you saw what happened in LA when ICE went there to clear the illegals, and the MAYOR, also black, telling the GANGS to 'take back your territory"... How long can this state survive with that kind of leadership/management?
