i got $500000 at once. Just hired a financial fiduciary and set myself an allowance every month. So catch me later in the month and i know exactly what my budget is.
What I've learned one million isn't enough to retire. So my life isn't that different in the end.
Nobody because although people say “you can tell me I won’t say anything I promise.” Believe me if you ever hear that don’t believe it because it’s bullshit. And if you need and I mean must say something because it’s driving you crazy then tell it to a total stranger.
My immediate family. Includes my hubby, 2 teen kids.
my mom, brother, and 2 sisters. And nephews and nieces. Prob about 15-20 people.

No one. I learned early on that it's better everyone thinks you're poor because you get left alone. As soon as you show any success, everyone comes looking for a handout.
I'd have to tell a few. Not least siblings, would clear any of their debts plus buy properties for neices and nephews. Would want to help friends cleatr debts. Obviously all depends on how much won. Have my own kids to worry about first and foremost
My brother died in January and left me his entire estate...$861,000.00, and I tell very few persons, other than Fidelity Investments.
Sorry for your loss
I would advise everyone to keep it a secret from anyone other than a fiduciary financial adviser and their tax accountant.
Just 4. My wife and. MY kids. I would not tell the IRS
Anyone. Everyone. IDGAF. Why would I?
