Of course. Everyone figures out - usually as a small child - that the optimal form of government is a dictatorship, where the dictator is a good, moral, intelligent person. That way, stuff actually gets done, without the opposition parties / courts / corporations (ie. corruption) etc getting in the way.

Most people then realize that all of those qualities are actually highly subjective, and by "a good, moral, intelligent person", what they really mean is "someone who holds exactly the same views that I do" - but they also realize that not everbody thinks the same way, and everybody is equally entitled to their views, so there needs to be some form of compromise, where everybody's view is taken into account (ie. democracy).

Unsurprisingly, many MAGA types are still a fair way behind on this. They just figured out the first part, but that's as far as they got. They're certain in their own beliefs, and simply can't comprehend that there are other people who believe something different, with equal conviction and equal justification.

For example, thanks to your link, we can see that DC received 10.7% more than the average of all states, but also that "This difference should be interpreted cautiously as Washington, DC, is a federal district rather than a state.".

We can also see that Alaska, Arizona, South Dakota, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia and Vermont also receive about the same percentage of their funding from the federal government. Are they all free of homeless people?
