Trump is trying to set up the US to be self sufficient and protect the American way of life from a world that is actively trying to destroy western civilization, and is succeeding in many traditionally strong European countries.

I know most people haven't been paying attention, but the WEF (World Economic Forum) has made their goal crystal clear: they want to depopulate the planet by 15/16ths, leaving just enough of a working class to maintain their luxuries. They envision these workers as powerless peasants who clean their houses and maintain their cars and planes, grow their food and refine their fuel, but have no vote and no say. They are impressed by China's policy of having workers assigned to factory dorms and working 996 (9am to 9pm 6 days per week) schedules.

This is not conspiracy theory, this is literally what they have been openly discussing (in dry corporate/government/diplomatic speach that they count on regular people finding too boring to listen to) for the last decade or more. There are videos on YouTube from WEF conferences that discuss different aspects of this plan - you can hear it from the horse's mouth if you can stay awake. This is why they have been pushing destructive policies onto western countries - to destabilize countries with the power to stop this and to cause depopulation via war and famine and by choice (because people tend not to have children in times of uncertainty).

No one here will be a factory slave - you will be dead by then - but many people across the world are going to suffer and die during the Great Retraction when the technologies we have relied upon for things like power and fuel and clean water and food are purposely sabotaged by a lack of spare parts and experienced workers.

Trump doesn't want this for the US, but we are incredibly vulnerable to it, because we have become far too dependent on other countries. We have outsourced everything. We no longer make our own steel. We don't make our own power transformers. We don't make our own fertilizer. We make no TVs, no cell phones, no computer chips. Trump's goal is to change all that. These things don't happen overnight - most won't happen until Trump's term has ended. But they have to begin before they can be finished, and policies need to be in place to allow and maintain them.

Again, most people have no idea about any of this, because the mainstream media is run by the WEF and is completely opposed to this, and would never allow a news story that would give any credit to Trump or to the America First policy. The WEF needs America weak and vulnerable, and Trump is screwing up huge parts of the plan. Because he doesn't want Americans to be literal factory slaves.

Trump is a businessman, not a politician. He runs government like a business, which is very different from the way politicians run government. In business, one typically makes decisions quickly, with input from a small group of people, on the basis that if the decision turns out to be bad, there's time to fix it. In contrast, most politicians hesitate making decisions, and require consensus from many before making any decision.

In business, people often change roles and jobs, voluntarily or forced. That rarely happens in politics since politicians do whatever is necessary to stay in power.

Covid was the ultimate litmus test to gauge if he was a dictator. It’s usually during times of crisis that dictators make their move to secure power. Trump did the opposite. If anything, his opposition criticized him for not controlling people’s lives enough. Only his successor would threaten Americans with the prospect of losing their jobs if they didn’t comply with rules they themselves we exempt from (rules for thee, but not for me!).

The only thing that would suggest a dictator is if he doesn’t leave office in 2028. But even his most ardent detractors see virtually zero risk of that if they are at all serious.

I think he's trying to take control of a situation where corporations have corrupted the government. It's understandable that some might look at him and say "dictator" but these hedge funds, China Israel, big pharma, banks etc already have a nearly dictator hold on policy, laws, who gets elected and what the general public thinks.

So I see this situation as a stress test about how flexible our system of government really is. Can trump take enough control to treat a cancer that's taken over our government?

I'd say less a dictator and more he's pushing the boundaries of his power because he sees himself as a last ditch effort against a series of terrible threats

Yes , he is trying. he has throw Constitution in a bonfire , by passed Court decisions. Taking over election process. Abused laws to get what he wants out of them. Ignores the people that elected him. Attacked as many countries as Hitler and even attacked his own states.

Biden pushed through a CDC eviction moratorium when he publicly acknowledged it would not withstand court review. But he’ll get what he wants while it’s litigated. How brazen is that? Is that what you call respect for the constitution?

He did the same with student loan forgiveness. Totally outside his executive authority, and he knew it. But it would “buy time”.

He literally threatened Americans that their job was at risk by mandating vaccines through OSHA. Clearly outside its mandate. But he didn’t care. Means to an end.

Basically, he believed that executive initiatives can deliver tangible benefits in the window before judicial review catches up.
