Oh there were a lot of reasons.

The Bernie bros hated her because of the way the DNC screw Bernie during the primary.

The broader electorate was really turned off by Clinton's behavior while she was in Obama's cabinet. I think that was probably most of the issue. Clinton said and did some truly wild and unpleasant stuff under Obama. A Clinton presidency promised to look like a more corporatist warmongering version (if that's even possible) of the Obama years, which people were sick of by that time.

Also, a lot of people forget just how thoroughly disliked Hillary was (and still is). People always found her cold, elitist, and unrelatable, even when her husband was President. A lot of people also believe that the Clinton Foundation has murdered a lot of people.

Hillary would have been as corrupt as she’s always been. I guess Democrats find corruption „stable“. She was also a terrible and arrogant candidate who was handed the nomination and acted as if the general election was a coronation. And, oh, yeah, Putin kept her from campaigning in person in Wisconsin. Not sure how, but somehow he did it.
