Tariffs are Trump's attempt at non-military warfare. He thinks he can get countries to bow down to him under economic pressure. But countries have found a way to ally with each other through BRICS and other agreements to remain economically strong. And that has revealed the U. S. and its European allies to be paper tigers.

The U. S., EU and NATO are near collapse while BRICS economies are growing at a faster pace and are stronger in technology and manufacturing. And they are immune to military threats.

If Trump was smart, he would end aggression and work toward trade partnerships and peaceful coexistence for the prosperity of the U. S. and the rest of the world.

The only enemies the U. S. has are Israel and those it has made for itself.

Trump pushed every country away and they all are making deals with China. He does it under the false premise that it will save American jobs but the reality is that it is only strengthening America's enemies at this point.

To be fair here. Trump is a certified joke but India has been courting both sides for a long time.

India is for example a founding member of the BRICS group. While they do have a greater degree of sympathy with Europe and the US, mostly due to them being a British colony and highly influenced by it, they have been effectively with the east for a long time.

India is in a sense easy to sway. Neither west nor East has treated them well and they are often given a second citizen treatment in both camps. If either one dropped that, India is likely to align itself. Right now Trump is pretending he solved their armed conflicts and lying to their faces. Of course they will be pushed away.

Trump isn’t pushing India toward them. For a long time India has had better relations with the Soviet Union and even Russia, than it did with the US, so there is a history there, including sales of military equipment. And we’ve all heard of BRICS.

But India, long the leader of the Non-Aligned nations, is not going to be allied closely with anyone, much less military and economic rival China, no matter how happy they are to buy Russian oil cheaply.

Trump is trying to stop the war in Ukraine by punishing Russia by stopping countries from buying energy from Russia. He is imposing a tariff in goods from India to get them to stop buying oil from Russia.
