Russia has always been an expansionist state regardless of the times we are talking about. Whether we are talking about the Tsarist empire, the USSR, the Russian Federation.
Russia continues to aggressively interfere in the internal affairs of other states with propaganda, manipulation, economic/energy/military blackmail.
Russia has never been a state that kept its word. They have always lied, cheated and betrayed.
Russia is a danger not only to Ukraine and Europe, Russia is a danger to world security and stability!
Russia has never created a functional, peaceful, prosperous and democratic society. Only dictatorships and tyrannies and burdens.

Why on earth would they be forced to invade Ukraine? Russia is the biggest country in the world. They have everything they need inside their own borders and pretty much every problem they have is either corruption or caused by their aggression against other nations. NOT invading Ukraine would literally be a benefit to the overall position of Russia.

a sizzling conflict had gone on for 7yrs. They were complaining for a long time... various failed accords, nothing was being done. So they took action.
