I don't. Most people do not care about you. They are also selfish and put their immediate interests over everything. They are also only "kind" because society expects it of them. I am not saying this applies to everyone, but in my opinion it applies to a vast portion of society.

Most people are basically good. It’s not a matter of belief. You’re overly nihilistic. You would benefit from resetting and reframing your world view. It’s also possible that you need to make a fresh start. Though rare, people can sometimes find themselves in dens of misery, so to speak. When you’re actually surrounded by people who are toxic. If that’s the case, it’s on you to get yourself out of it. If it’s not the case, it’s still on you to get your head right. Wallowing in despair changes nothing for the better.

You could say that people are good in general as something sentient evolved here rather than mere animals. That could be very rare in the universe. While savage now, evolution is ongoing and some day people might become something truly advanced.

Good, evil... it's everything matter of perspective. I think most people are opportunistic and if it benefits them to make good things for you, they will do. This is valid for evil things either.

I think most people are neutral until life tests them. if they were taught good morals they will choose the correct option otherwise it's a toss up.
