FYI : Sharia law is just a basic law, and it can't be established where there is already any law. If there is already a law, then there is no need to create new law.

Yup. The problem is the US Constitutional right guaranteeing separation of church and state. A religious ideology that allows people to kill each other based on religious doctrine, “honor killing” as infidels refer to it, are in opposition to our laws. There is definitely verbiage from the Quran that suggests that national law should not be challenged by religious law. Unfortunately, not only is that contrary to our founding, but there are dozens of examples of people trying to kill each other in the US and using their religion as an excuse to do so.

Sharia laws are based on the Quran and the Sunnah. They're interpreted and put to practice based on the whim of the religious leaders in power. Worst part is that is often not limited just to criminal law. It encompasses every aspect of human life; both public and private.

Sharia law has no place in governance where the entire population is not Muslim.
