Do you vote based on party loyalty or your values?

Personally, I vote based on party loyalty.

I appreciate this question,  I am also glad I saw this question on the day I was actually thinking about politics. So, I would like to answer this in below points, Miss. Oak! 1) If I am voting in an election, it actually means that I felt that it is an important election for my country. So, I think I would vote based on the standing candidates life and his life's responsibilities, also how he handled his situations.  2) I would also choose the right candidate based upon his interests in the development of my country, my state. NGL, my personal growth as well or my family's growth for that matter. But if I had to answer this considering the two options you mentioned in this question, it would be  My values.

My loyalty is to the right-wing, not to a particular party, right-wing parties make a coalition anyway in my country so it don't matter that much what particular party I choose.

I vote based on shared values. Of course I dont share them 100% with a party. But I can pretty much find my values inside two parties and because there are different people in those parties I can probably find it. Also one of those parties has a leader who I can probably agree with on a surprisingly huge ammount of points.
There is a third who is closer than the rest but much farther away. Its harder to find who I have the least shared values with because dont know, if I would go for priorities or ammount?

I have never voted for a party, and never will. I vote for each candidate on their own individual merit, based on how close they come to my values and philosophy.

I'm an Independent, and my ballot always has votes for members of the 2 major parties, plus an occasional vote for a minor party or two.

Morality and values.

A few years ago I voted for a party I never imagined I'd vote for because it had become closer to my values than any others.

A couple of years later at the next election I shifted again for the same reason. That party remains who I'd vote for ufan election was called tomorrow and I could cast a vote.

I vote based on my values. I'm not loyal to a party, group or herd because I'm not a sheep. I agree with conservatives on some issues and with liberals on others.

progressive values of course. i will always vote blue over a conservative, but i will always vote a progressive over a typical liberal.

I'm independent, so I have no party loyalty. I have voted many times for candidates from each party. Having said that, there have been VERY few candidates on the left worth voting for recently.
