I go to a local produce and locally sourced butcher and get grass fed 7% fat for 7.99 a pound. I agree its keeping me from going out to eat because of the price. Generally these jobs were for teenagers but now teenagers are forced out for adults.

They did try to ask Congress to raise the national minimum wage but it was blocked, as usual, by Republicans who decry it as unfair to businesses to have to pay more and pass on the cost to consumers when there is already a global model that shows it doesn't have to be that way. CEOs just have to take less and they never want to do that.

Trump's party has both the Senate and House and could easily do this now if he wanted to. He just doesn't.

Why cause more inflation? The majority of states are in the 15 dollar range. Some states do not have a minimum wage so it is the federal limit.

The individual states set their own minimum wage. The federal minimum wage was set at $7.25 in 2009. Most states already have a higher minimum wage. I am not sure about Alabama.
