Why are you lying about laws when it comes to affirmative action? I am a private employer. There is no such thing as some AA law I have to comply with. There is no such thing as forcing private employers to use quotas for hiring "Black" people. How many times will we see the same old "forced to hire "Black" people mantra". Just like there are no quotas for "Whites", Asian, American Indians, or Latinos.
The truth of the matter is some states have passed AA laws for businesses that have state contracts. And the federal government has requirements for businesses that have federal contracts.
Because government is supposed to be representative of the people it governs.
But government should never get involved with the practices of private businesses unless it is proven they have violated Constitutional rights.
And the thing is, you aren't even embarrassed about posting something so ignorant.

Regardless of race, people who get hired for a position should be qualified for said position. If a licensed cadd tech with actual experience in his field is turned down a job in favor of a some random janitor simply because the janitor is a different race, they're gonna have to spend a lot of company time training that janitor on cadd software. If they weren't willing/able to train him on said software, then they'd best expect a lot of busted blueprints and funky finished products on projects he's working on as he's adjusting to the way cadd works, which wouldn't have happened had they just hired the licensed guy in the first place.

No, race shouldn't matter. All that should matter is who is best qualified for the job, which in this case, the white guy should get it since he is more qualified to do the job.

No, they shouldn't. Many years ago I have actually not got hired and not got promoted when I was much more qualified and experienced for that eact reason. They promoted a Black woman so they could fill the quota for two "diversity" positions at the same time instead. then I ended up having to teach the new supervisor how to do almost half of her new job/position.
People should be hired/promoted based on merit, not based on race. Only racists support hiring solely based on race. (Most democrats I have known support hiring based on race and on gender too.)No, it's not right but while companies do comply, they don't necessarily have them doing the actual job they were hired for. Trust me, I know. They hire an under qualified "rocket scientist" and can literally have them do useless jobs all day. Kamala Harris is living proof.
