It's my body. My choice.

Not really. The actual argument behind "My body, my choice" basically prohibits any violation of your bodily integrity. There is no realistic way to remove an embryo, fetus or baby from a woman's stomach to put into an artificial womb that does not require the moral consent of the woman.
Lets set up an analogous example. Lets say someone is deathly ill and will die without receiving your blood in a harmless one-time transfusion that would take 5 minutes of your time. Even if it means this persons life or death you will still have the legal right to say "No" and nothing can legally compel you or force you to give that blood without breaking your bodily autonomy.
That is true even if the person who will die is your child and you, for whatever reason, still decide to say "No".
However, if the egg was freely given to the artificial womb and the woman later regretted her decision then yes, she would not have any right to abort or interfere with the growth of that child on the grounds of bodily autonomy because it is not part of her body. You could still make the argument that if both parents agreed to abort then maybe that would be legal but I have no idea how that would work out legally or morally since its an entirely fictional scenario that I have not even considered before.
Those are not the only reason a woman or a couple will chose the hard step to have an abortion.
If you believe that it’s simply down to a persons body, then you really need to educate yourself about life, which if you are 34 is likely too late.
Well that means absolutely nothing, zero context to the question, pretty nonsensical.
Pro what? I’m not American so I don’t get their weirdly political names for stuff.
I let countries do their own thing, it may be crazy but it is their life.
No it’s not, that is not how the law works here.
Because it is with a legal framework.
Fairly simple one that.
Yes I did, because it’s covered by a legal framework. That’s how laws work.
If there was not a law, then it would be illegal or at least not legal.
I am not acting stupid.
An act will go through Parliament and House of Lords, also the high court and then become a law.
It’s basic democracy.
Are you from a democratic country?
Pretty every country in Europe has a similar setup with its laws etc.
You asked why is it.
It can only be legal due to it going through due process.
Historically this was due to sheer number of women dying from back street butchers.
Also IF humanity did got down the artificial womb route, this would be a commercial activity and tanks would be terminated if the company was not meeting its financial returns. Life would be judged on a balance sheet and not by doctors.
That’s enough on the subject.
I don't think it will be as beneficial as a natural thing n I don't think they will be able to do it anytime soon anyways
Thanks for the mho honey
Why would someone want to get an abortion if signed up to fertilize an egg placed in an artificial womb?
Add. Medical emergencies and rape are hardly excuses.

I look at both sides and see valid points that make it a tricky topic for me to decide if they should continue this method.
I must may I don’t like the idea of “killing a baby” of course that isn’t great! Bottom line. In America, we do it or, more so allow it anyways.
I think abortion should be just done differently and not super accessible or “so easy a cavewoman can do it”. I think the government should actually just kinda regulate it. Treat it like a dui, take classes, pay a huge fine and it goes up after each one. It should be a huge fine like $12,000 within in 18 months regardless like at every hospital. Once the procedure is done they get charged. Then they could have you fight it and have attorneys that could get hired to help them in these cases based on why they need the abortion importance. I think a judge should handle every abortion. For example an abortion “just because” is best to have a good lawyer.
Would you suggest a high consequence such as a hefty fine or jail time if committed?
No? Abortion isn't about killing anything. It's about bodily autonomy, a woman's choice on how to handle her own pregnancy.
If artificial wombs become a real option for the average pregnant person, it would only become an alternative choice to abortion. It would not replace it.
If a fetus can be removed SAFELY sure. But it would have to be as safe, affordable, and non-invasive as an abortion would be. Otherwise abortion would still have a medical reason to be preferred, potentially, so it should still be an option.
I think it will practically end the need to have marriage or relationships.. if I can repopulate and have it incubated in a neutral third party that will do what we need it too. The only think we would need is an egg. Extract that from a female, and kick her to the curb.
That way we can now say women are as useless as they say men are.. crazy how the tables are turning.
Artificial wombs not gonna happen anytime soon but it would help with army creation. :)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/LXLQaVgCP_QYou say abortion is killing the unborn. If they're not born, they're not viable yet, so you're not killing a person. The best thing about an artificial womb will be that it will greatly aid a man who wants a child but wasn't want a wife! He can choose from a variety of female egg donors, use his own sperm, and get a baby with his genes in it and not have to deal with female bullshit.
Excuse me for not specifying. I mean fetuses that are for sure unviable if they were to be born before like 12 weeks.
She has to agree to donate her eggs or have a fertilized egg removed and used in the artificial womb. Depending on the laws governing what happens after that, she still may have the chance to terminate growth. It won't automatically or necessarily change anything, it will still be governed by laws of the country or state.
Demolish? No. It's still my body my choice.
There being an external artificial womb doesn't change anything. Infact it just gives you more choice.
Depends where you live. There is no limit in some places. Either way. Continuing a pregnancy is a choice
it will probably cement women right to abortion. Who the fuck cares other then controlling women?
I think the distant future holds brood facilities where humans are bred for societal functions like plumbers and architects. Like on Krypton. Natural births will only occur in the third world.
well no. artificial wombs are a separate issue/entity so abortion rights won't relate to them.
the woman is literally the incubator so has a say on a emotional and physical toll on their body...
duh? if this logic eludes you, heaven knows how you've survived.
Yep!! And about time. Unless the mother's life is threatened there is no excuse for murduring a child. That said, there is forgiveness.
I'll say no to that... But when male birth control hits the market we are gonna see the need for abortions fall of a cliff.
It'll be hard to claim the pregnancy was an accident...
Men will still want to have sex with women though, right?
You should not worried about that you already passed that age. Aunty..
I don't know but most likely not
