No it’s fine and if the actual UN major powers were not a bunch of arseholes, there would be a very small number of powers with them.
the more countries that have them the more likely they would be used.
for example if Iran and Iraq had them at the time of their war, one or both would have used them.
Give every African nation a nuke, how many years until they chuck them about?
The problem is some countries are ran by really crazy people, who would not see using one a bad thing.
It is but it's also kinda the point. I have bigger guns, do what I say.
The problem is the ones that are keen to get one don't want it as a deterrent, they want to use it.
the 'we can do but u can't' apply to almost everything

Exhibit A: Ukraine
USA talked them into giving up nukes - their only bargaining chip - back to Russia in return for USA & EU security guarantees. Guess what we did when Crimea got invaded? NOTHING!! Guess who is not doing enough now? USA
Our word is worthless and it makes our allies think twice.
It is, but I think the issue lies in the fact that some countries are not trusted to use nuclear weapons responsibly (ie possibly obtaining nuclear weapons as a pretense to war with other countries.)
That being said though, the US has been in many wars since WW2, but hasn’t used them since then
I hypocritcal for policeman have a gun but not allowing a madman have a gun? Iran is mad.
Considering what Israel is doing in Gaza, I think the anger is a bit justified.
last country Iran invaded was...
Most countries don't have sufficient security to possess nuclear weapons.
Hypocrisy doesn't really enter in to matters of power.
Yes, but necessary. No one should have them really, but it’s relatively clean power, and once you have one, it takes a lot of resolve to not develop the other.
Hypocritical- behaving in a way that suggests one has higher standards or more noble beliefs than is the case.
we don’t trust him they’re dangerous they could turn against us
nope...
and it's better that way
