Who do you think will win, and what are your thoughts on why it has been called so suddenly.
If recent council elections are anything to go by I think we'll see a massive swing to the left. People are sick of the cost of living crisis and the government focusing on gimmicky populist policies like exporting immigrants to Rwanda.
Normally the conservatives bribe people with a 1p tax cut paid for by chopping a big chunk off the military budget but given the situation at the minute they can't so they'll probably sack loads of nurses instead.
Another issue is people don't believe a billionaire Indian really understands their problems, the question is will Sir Flip-Flop be any better? End of the day voting is like changing your shirt after you've shit your pants

Who will win?
I don't know but I fear Labour with the genocide and wealth confiscations
The Tories are a shower of shit
The remaining serious parties are extremists on both sides of the spectrum
Who will I vote for?
Based on the above the monster raving loonie party are looking good, no power but I voted so therefore I can complain about who ever actually gets in
Why has it been called now?
On the back of low inflation news, not giving anyone time to get underway with anything and so it's sorted before the chaos of schools breaking up for summer and then going back in September
I suspect labour will win. The tories have completely shot themselves in the foot by betraying their vote and installing a PM nobody voted for. So people are done with that party and will vote Reform. Problem is, you never get the entire voting base so thats inevitably going to be a split vote between Tories / Reform. I don't see such a split on the labour side, so that will probably be the winner. But its needed, the tories need to be abolished for doing what they did and I don't think the voters care about the risk of labour winning anymore since they get those policies anyway if they vote tories.

Interesting to Americans because July 4 is the day we celebrate our independence from British rule.
The Conservatives will be lucky to win as many seats as they did in the 1997 wipeout. I have no idea why Sunak called for an early election. Maybe they just want to get the ass whipping over with.
I guess we'll find out just how much anti-Semitism remains in Labour.
It looks like it should be Labour, but with first past the post, who knows?
I'm looking forward to voting in a UK election for the first time in over a decade!
There’s a markedly conservative anti-immigrant populism boiling around the world.
If the us had a nominee not on trial for election rigging, or bribery, he’d have a better chance.Oh Christ, here we go... Nobody even cares any more. All the so called "parties" are just massively unsuitable.
Simples...
You need to ELECT generals? I thought they were just promoted.
