Why did Lybia's and Syria's new post revolution flags get recognized as the official new flags, but not Afghanistan's Taliban flag?

Syria and Lybia also fell to terrorists.

All the trivia games and phones still use the previous Afghan flag. Only Wikipedia has the correct flag.

When I bring this up, they ignore me. The official new flag of Afghanistan is the Taliban flag.

I don't know which one sports bodies use.

It’s easier to get the UN to sign off on a flag when you’re the unofficial bottom bitch of the US of A.


Taliban are different. They are just the natural outcome of a lack of foreign intervention.
Their persistence throughout the decades despite what they’ve been up against proves that the when left to their own devices the afghans will always lean towards Taliban

They don’t have to officially sign off on it
But the can chose to recognize it or ignore it

For instance the new Syrian flag was internally adopted first, then propagated through all of Syria’s embassies around the world
And then the minister of foreign affairs went to one of the UN headquarters and raised the flag there in a ceremony of solidarity from the rest of the UN nations

The nation of Afghanistan is still a member of the UN with suspended rights and a seat held by a representative of the former regime.

The Taliban are not recognized as a nation and do not exercise foreign diplomatic rights

Hence why their flag is not recognized.

But that’s politics. If they want to be recognized they will have to lobby for it
