The other day my co worker and I were just shooting the breeze when he got up from his chair and came to my side of the table and took my hand in his, then held it while still talking to me.

maybe I should know what it means at my age but what does it mean?

He's either into you or a very big flirt. For example this guy at my work does stuff like that to women but he's not into them, he just loves to flirt with women.
