Today in the Bay Area about 50,000 people joined the “No Kings” protests in San Francisco, marching along Market Street and meeting at Civic Center and Ocean Beach. The demonstrations were aimed at expressing opposition to President Donald Trump’s policies, especially his recent threats to deploy federal troops in the city and his immigration enforcement efforts. Organizers called for grassroots unity, immigrant rights and anti-authoritarian reforms.
