Gun heads, would trading in my Glock for an AR Pistol be a smart decision?

Okay so here is the thing, I like my Glock, it's a Glock 19 gen 5, purchased but never fired, not even at a range, one could say it's brand new even tho it's been purchased years ago, which I know a 9mm is nothing to snooze at, they are reliable, comfortable to shoot and makes an excellent everyday carry but recently my state has passed the open carry law and I'm happy about it but I'm feeling a bit underpowered if I were to put it in a word, I thought about it and this Glock costed me $750 which the more I think about, I'm paying for the brand here, there's many decent ARPs and even AR rifles for that price range which I've been thinking of trading in at a local shop or selling my Glock to get a ARP which comes in several calibers, thoughts?

Also I know I'm going to have to sacrifice comfort here, mostly if I want to conceal carry which is normally my way to carry but I'm willing to sacrifice comfort, or maybe carry a backpack

Yes. Id keep the glock as its more versatile. But certainly a cabinet will give you more accurate shots and is a better truck gun or home defence weapon.

For my mind AR Pistol is still just a 9mm or 40mm etc firing carbine so if I wanted more fire power id just get a regular AR. Also an AR Pistol is still an AR and maybe the negative stigma isn't what you want if you ever had to use. Why not a Keltec 2000, they take glock mags and are dirt cheap and a good back pack gun. Also ghe ruger PC Carbine and Henry homesteader take glock mags and dont look like school shooter weapons.

Beretaa storm takes bereta mags. The M1 carbine also.

I'm going to have to do research on what I can get if I were to sell the Glock, mostly now with this tax free holiday going on, I gotta take advantage, I still have to find a budget one that's within the price range but reliable, so that's more homework

Why not just keep it and save up for the carbine you want. You will have no problem selling a quality glock but you will look back with regretting ever selling it.
My husband still regrets losing his ruger security 6 revolver his father left him and the old truck.

Well I don't have any sentimental value with this Glock, I think your father's ruger given by his father is far more important to him than my Glock is to me, I've got a list of expenses I gotta do and I don't think saving up for a ARP is the best financial choice when it comes to saving up, selling the Glock kinda means this ARP buys itself, selling the Glock would mean the money I get is gun money, not me blowing more resources on another gun lol

Handguns are defense, AR firearms are offensive weapons. I would be worried about collateral injury with an AR and having some lawyer come after you as a “Gun Nut”. If you have not fired 300-500 rounds through your carry weapon, this is another issue that could get you in trouble if a lawyer came after you. I have fired over 100,000 rounds over the years and not everyone can do that but having muscle memory is a good skill to have.

A round is the whole thing, bullet with the cartridge, and this is just basic gun stuff 😂

And the size not only has more gunpowder, which means stronger bullets but the bullets themselves are bigger too lol

Well I can't take it into a bank, it's a gov building, all government buildings are restricted and its prohibited, also as anyone else that has guns, I will respect any privately owned business that prohibits as well which any business is allowed to do so by simply just putting up a sign that it's not allowed.
