Northerners and Californians: Why do you ruin southern communities?

My hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee has been destroyed over the past decade or so by northern and Californian outsiders. The place where I was born and raised most of my life has lost its charm. Outsiders seem to overwhelmingly outnumber local born residents.

This place reminds me of metro Atlanta now. I lived outside Atlanta during all my middle school and half my high school years. When I returned to Tennessee, it was still ok but it has gotten much worse as the years progress. It has become more transient like Atlanta now.

It's not "Yankees", it' corporations, private US developers or sometimes foreign investors. Who gives approval for these developments? Your state and local government bodies, all elected by you or appointed by those you elect.

You got a beef, buddy? Direct it at those who approve the land projects. You're a red state, so the Republicrunts are likely in charge of the decision making process. But money seeks more money, and no matter who is charge, there's graft, payoffs, and the old "it will increase the tax base" shit to sell to the public. Lol, believe me, there are many borderline-retarded people here. But bombarding areas with massive population growth, outsiders, and infrastructure unable to accommodate it all is not the answer. Grabbing farmland and any piece of land to develop mass high-density apartments is not the answer. Flooding out southern tradition and culture is not a solution. While we are a no-state-income-tax state with a low cost of living, we are not to be taken advantage of by northerns and Californians who are fleeing their states due to failed policies they voted for.

That's not only bullshit talk that has NO meaning, there IS no such thing as southern culture. The only "tradition" the south has is lynching black folks.

The only people coming to low cost to live southern states are basing their moves solely on money. No one decides " hey, I want to move to one of the 5 dumbest states in the nation, with the worst health care, worst education, bad climate, falling apart infrastructure, racist atmosphere and top 10 crime rates, because it's attractive. They come there when they have no other economic choice.

But let's exaggerate a bit too, shall we, about the "mass influx" of Californians to states like Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and even Florida. If you had more than two competing brain cells, you'd be able to see that the variation in numbers of population increase and decrease is still nothing but "average".

Every red state is in a "failed policies that they voted for" situation AS we speak. Every single one of them. I pray each time I read some of your bullshit that California, the west coast and the Northeast break away into their own nation, and you folks living in welfare states find out what REALLY happens when your rhetoric hits the shit fan.
