Created a business that exploits poor people to fight 2-3x/year, where they are at risk of being disabled and long term will develop dementia early. Pays them very poorly and doesn't even offer them health coverage.

And keep in mind this man and his organization is worth 100s of millions of dollars. And yet his avg employees are getting paid 50-100k/per fight and they are the ones who have to go in the cage, take punches and kicks to the face and body and sometime end up in the hospital due to broke teeth, jaws, arm dislocation, fractures etc.

oh and that 50-100k isn't all for the fighter. That gets taxed and whatever remains is distributed between the fighter and their team (coach, nutritionist, physiotherapist, agent) etc.

No one is putting a gun to these guy's heads. Poor does not automatically = stupid. These young guys are probably very easy to prey on. No money. No career path. Probably limited education. No status in life. The UFC teases a fix to some of their problems. But they do have some responsibility in this stupidity. Getting your brains beat out of you is not a great life plan.

I think everyone in the MMA scene knows and agrees that Dana White is a pile of turd. At the same time, he has done a lot to promote MMA.

But having a much bigger share go to the fighters is just common sense. They get a pitiful amount of what they pull in.

No one is forcing them. And $50k to $100k to fight 2-3 times a year isn't bad money, unless you're comparing it to what other athletes make.

Capitalism is a flawed economic system without a doubt. And it needs to be heavily shackled and monitored by a strong government. But... I'm not sure we can save every dumbass who chooses to strike a match at a gas pump or every young adult male with no sense of his own mortality who chooses to get his brains beat out as a career path. There is a place for natural selection in society as well. Darwin is about to be proven right again with the Red Hat crowd, LOL.
