Why are republicans suing over California's Redistricting measure, but didn't when texas did the same thing?

So California does it the legal way and the people spoke and said yes to prop 50, but when Texas did it with zero weigh in from the states voters, it’s okay?

When Texas was first incorporated into the union, they established a provision that allowed them to do just that. This was due to two primary factors, its sheer size and the fact that Texas was its own country before being incorporated into the USA. California was acquired from Mexico with no similar arrangement.
Newsom’s prop 50 was in response to ten counties flipping red in 2024. The corrupt democrats running California knew that their days were numbered because the vast majority of citizens are sick and tired of their woeful combination of corruption and incompetence. So they did what they had to do in order to not only retain power that they no longer deserve, but increase their influence on federal government.

They get their marching orders from Trump himself. He directly ordered the Texan GOP to "find him additional seats", just like he ordered the Georgia secretary of state to "find 11,780 votes". The voting and redistricting California now does, is a direct reaction to that.

While I have not looked or heard about this, gerrymandering is legal in USA. It is insane that it is legal, but it is.

Both parties do it. The republicans do it much more. But both do it.

This is just political posturing. Trying to pretend their own farts don't smell when both party's pants are suffering flatulence. More distractions. They want people upset and preoccupied, not actually caring enough to cause change.
