@tamera952 It doesn't have the people's blessing, it was a completely fraudulent referendum, and voted for by the leftist people in the big cities of California. The rural areas of the state didn't stand a chance, and they knew it when they set up this phony vote.
40% of California is Republicans, but after the redistricting, the 40% now only have 3% of the vote, leaving them unrepresented in the United States Congress. The left talks about "threat to democracy" all the time, well taking away someone's vote is the biggest threat to democracy and the most un-American move anyone could make. It's not right in Texas and it's not right in California.
Fortunately, 7 other states are redistricting to change their majorities to Republican and wipe out California's advantage in Congress by 4-to-1, creating a safe super-majority and leaving Democrats with no say in anything. Normally I would be violently against a move like this but under the circumstances, we have to destroy the Democrats who are destroying this country.
Hopefully the court will stop it in Texas and California before any of this happens.
No, I'm solidly in the FAFO camp. The MAGA ass clowns started this. The more shit they end up covered in because of it the better. Let CA, MA, IL, NY, etc. all rig their elections like Red States. Let the Reich Wing know what it feels like to have their votes made meaningless.
And CA took the responsible path of putting it to the people to decide in referendum—and they are all on board, having the people’s blessing.

No because Republicans are doing this every place they can repeatedly. And they're going to keep doing because they are a desperate to rig as many elections as they possibly can. There's absolutely no reason that the Democrats should not be afforded the same privileges.
Yes. I live in California. The courts should halt redistricting here, too. Fuck Newsom and the Democrats.
let the Supreme court rule on this. I always thought that it was the states that had the authority for setting the districts. Do federal judges have the authority to do this?
