Nah. Red States will just rig the census reporting. Congressional redistricting should be done by a single independent 3rd party and approved by federal courts outside each individual state. Take the corrupt state legislatures out of the process entirely. The independent 3rd party should have their financials audited by the IRS annually including audits of company officers and board members personal finances. Bribes should come with a felony charge.

They do break each congressional district into very many different types of flavors and subunits When canvassing and they do hire from those communities for whatever that's worth.

I just have a paranoia after watching Red States cheat over decades. And that has only increased after the last 3 elections and Jan 6th. What else would they do? The Democrats are still trying to play as if they are dealing with the Reagan Republicans of the 1980's. This is different. They have evolved into actual Fascists. I mean, if they'll resort to an armed insurrection to overthrow an election, what would they stop at to steal an election inside a state they control?

The census isn't as reliable as you might think, so that metric alone shouldn't be the sole basis of redistricting. It's more complex than that and requires more data input.

As far as election law is concerned I agree. The most important thing to fix is to destroy citizens United and go to public campaign financing with time limits on campaigning.
