How do you feel about the dems getting pissed at their own people for opening the government?

It had to do with extending the ability of people to buy health insurance. Legally, SNAP benefits don't end with a government shutdown. That was Trump throwing a temper tantrum, because he wasn't getting his way. So, really SNAP being cut off shouldn't have even been an issue. All the democrats got was The Senate promising to vote on a healthcare bill before 2026. That doesn't mean Mike Johnson will even bring it to the floor of The House for a vote. Essentially, it cost the GOP nothing, except approval ratings. It's worth noting that all 8 that voted with the GOP are not running again or up for reelection in 2026. If they held firm, we'd still be in the shutdown, but the GOP would have to cave eventually, or else they'd piss off almost everyone by ruining their Thanksgiving and/or Christmas plans.
