Given the full context of his statement literally included due process, no. If he said “Bring me their heads!”, absolutely. If he spent years repeating the lie that they are dangerous and that the only way to stop them was vigilante justice, definitely. But he hasn’t done that. The left all but monopolized that game.
There is an alarming number of conservatives calling their political opponents “evil”, and characterizing their behavior as “evil”. That needs to stop and it should be punished if they refuse to curb that behavior themselves. It has exactly the same connotations as repeatedly calling people “Nazis” and inappropriately implying fascist behavior where none exists. Nut jobs who believe the ONLY way to stop “evil” is to destroy it will start hurting and killing people.
