A cocktail bar in England has been criticised for banning single men from entry. They claim the ban is needed because single men are creepy and dangerous, and a bar isn't the place for people who don't have friends because inevitability they'll try and talk to someone.
So, how do you feel about this? Good Idea? Should they be banned from parks too because they're obviously looking to pick up kids.
Or as we're seeing a loneliness crisis are these policies just wrong?
Haha I think non single men and women should be banned. Make it easier for us looking to date to know someone is available instead of getting along chatting with someone and feeling a vibe only for them to say 2 hours later that they are married!
Well pubs use to have segregation. There was a ladies saloon and the bar for the men. To be in the saloon a man needed to accompanied by a woman.
That was the case until feminism acted to bust up working men's clubs and other male only spaces.
I not against segregation, but there has to be equally men's only spaces where we can get away from the nagging WoG.
I would like to join the Men's Shed where you can use club machinery to make or mend. But fuck me they let women in. So there is no point in me joining.
Of course a major business model was free entry for girls and a free drink to get them started and charge men an entry fee. and no free drink. If a club can attract women, men will follow cause they'll hope to hook up with a drunk girl.
But if they ban single men who are looking for sex, they are banning the payers from their establishment. My crystal is ball is showing woke is broke in the future.
Sounds like a bit much. Although I guess if it is a lesbian or a man-hating feminist bar than OK. I think what I would do is approach the bar , have them reject me because they perceive me as a single man and then take them to court and tell the judge that I identify as a woman. Now I sue for emotional damages and transgender discrimination. Uff... think of the payday!!!
No! how else am I supposed to hook up with guys if they can't come to the bar. Who's gonna pay for my drinks? If you are gonna ban single men, just ban all men and make a lesbian bar.
Yes, all people should be banned from pubs and clubs, then those establishments will close down and people can sit at home each evening, augmenting their profile pics with filters and lying in their profiles. Men can send sperm samples to women they meet online so they can have children without ever meeting for real... That's best because men always try to abuse their children anyway, so it's best to keep them at a distance...
That cocktail bar will close down unless it can find enough lesbians to frequent it.
If I was a pub owner I would be strongly against this idea. Single men are probably best paying customers, especially if you hire girls with big boobs as bar women. Big boobs lure men, men lure women, women lure more men... perfect Eco system to sell overpriced drinks..
I think you can allow single men entry as long as they abide by a simple rule. No talking to or otherwise interacting with any of the women. No eye contact. No smiling. No buying a woman a drink or accepting a drink from a woman. No holding doors for a woman. No offering a woman your seat.
If you’re scared of going into public. Don’t go into public…. Number one most men aren’t bad people in fact if a bad man is trying to get you…. A lot of times it’s good men who step in.
Bars and clubs frankly aren’t the smartest places to be anyways. But it’s pretty sexist to just say all men are bad. Besides…. Even if it’s only women there a woman could spike another woman’s drink and rob her blind.
Although I can understand the concern around single men and bars, is banning them from entering a bar not a form of discrimination? Not to mention bars would loose around 50% of their clients, that is best case scenario...
Why would they do that? Single men have the most disposable income and are more than willing to spend it on drinks, for themselves, and for the ladies they are trying to pick up.
They could hang around outside until another single man arrives and go in together. Maybe they'll both make a friend. If people of the same sex don't want to go out with you, why should anyone else?
As long as women are ok with men's only bars then I say more power to you. But it's likely that women will not be ok with it and will try to make their case using whataboutisms to justify their need to have their own bar but prevent men from having their own. Feminism isn't about equality in 2025. It's about power.
That does not make sense. It makes more sense to say to ban married women from entering pubs and clubs. Because modern women nowadays are more likely to cheat than a married man would.

@msc545 When was somebody's due process denied? Due process can take many forms. It is designed to determine if a crime was committed and the person was given the opportunity to a hearing. In the case if an illegal alien the question is are they in the country without legal authorization. It is pretty black and white. Democrats want each illegal alien to have a jury trial and an appeal. The law does not define due process in these cases and there is a large amount of latitude in determining what is appropriate. The constitution is upheld regardless. Killing drug smugglers is pre=emptive strike just as if they were trying to explode a dirty bomb in Times Square.
Your second paragraph above is inaccurate and full of lies. Due process is an *absolute right* whether you like it or not. There is no "latitude" involved.
Your third paragraph would be arguable, if they had been smugglers. As it happens, nobody knows because they were just surprised and killed, not even spoken to.
To now call them "smugglers" is a horrible slander you engage in to make yourself feel better about the fact that you support a serial killer and murderer. Shame on you.
@msc545 Due Process is giving people a chance to defend themselves. Homeland Security does exactly that. It does not say specifically that due process in a jury trial and an automatic appeal.
No Homeland security brutalizes people and deports them. What Homeland security does is not considered to be due process at all. You may consider it due process because it is convenient. But unfortunately for you that is not the legal definition of due process at all. Stop trying to find ways to get around the fact that every single person in the US is entitled to due process according to the Constitution.
@msc545 that is a lie. they get sent to one of the processing facilities and each get s a hearing and then they get sent back to where they came from except if they are convicted murderers, Then the just get deported.
This is wrong. Granted I get certain aspects but not all are that way. They’re not creepy a lot of the times there are exaggerated moments. And more often than not it’s just two people with different views, taste , and preferences.
As if the birth rate wasn’t already low enough. But what’s Stone Island and why don’t they want it? I never was one to go to a bar alone so this would phase me or many others I would guess.
They should be banned from our nations entirely... All natives who couple with foreigners should be expelled along with them.
