What do you think may be the reason why failed suicide attempts are more common in females?

What a lot of the answers said and my theory is that no one really wants to kill themselves but women tend to not want to really kill themselves more than men do therefore they go the easier route and take pills or slit their wrists usually the wrong way. I know that my suicide attempt was going to be pills but I've attempted other ways like hanging myself and drowning myself but I wasn't strong enough to do it because I really didn't want to die.

Because they are more emotional and more try to knock themselves off and they usually don't use guns. They take pills, or cut wrists wrong because it might leave a mess for others to clean up.
