we'll... not agreeing with that as yet, but have known few personally and never asked them directly. Muslim/Mohammed is a whole diff mindset from what I've read and seen. Honour is the "power", not love. The daughter is property. Wasn't that way in my roman catholic family. With all my sisters flaws, we never talked about chopping her head off. Catholic/Christian based upon love.
That does get twisted though. Maybe it is the minority as usual, but I doubt it.

Push most any human to the limits, get a bad reaction... they start pushing buttons. they'll blow the world up, shoot, kill, murder. each for their own justifications. Some have more spiritual depth than others. Most don't.

Sadly , they are usually in power, not the decent (caring) people. It takes ruthless power to control diversity of people (e. g. saddam be example).

Contrast muslim to my non religious chinese family... daughter will dishonour them, doub they throw her out. might. some might beat them, but in general, they just let her go her way. The older I get, the more clearly I see the main groups responsible for the most shit in the world. Muslims are at the top right now. Yes. I see these issues emotionally now and they make more sense to me. Once I started to undestand there is a sub conscious, it's programmed emotionally, so much of behavior can be understood. It IS a religion of peace.. their own peace to rectify how they feel.
Take any culture and put it through that lense and can make sense of their behavior.
This why I say "God" is love. It isn't that the God of the Bible demonstrates love, it's a mess. It's that it started that way in a relationship (analogy) and man fell out of that by choice into knowledge of good and evil. That's where we persist. Its an exceptional imagery. It's books of god awful mess, with love interjected. All the commandements are generally about keeping "good relationships". Jesus fufilled what they were forseeing... and the Jews couldn't see it.
To me it's like saying what God do I choose, I choose a loving God. God simply is. That "Is" is some kind of frequency we all want, but gets screwed up... it's emotion. we all want that, but we get beat up and oppressed.

There is nothing wrong with middle eastern people. The problem is with their religious ideology which demands submission of non-believers by any means necessary. In a sense, it is ingrained cultural hatred like Klanners had against blacks back in the day.
