Guys, which is/was/would be worse being physically harmed by other guys or by girls?

I say this who was a victim of a beating from two guys when I was on my way home as a teenager a bit under the influence (I was above the drinking age in Scotland) where I ended up in hospital with superficial injuries and required an X-ray in case of head injuries and as a survivor (another dude lost his life due to allergic reaction) of a drugging, robbery and SA act in my early 30s by women.

Both situations had my agency and safety taken from me and the consequences were much worse when it was women acting criminally against me.

I have also discovered that a study showed that 70% of the perpetrators of non reciprocal (don't fight back) IPV in relationships are women toward men. This to me is a heartbreaking and scary af stat that has not been given any significant airtime.

So guys have you experienced any sort of violence from others that had different impacts on you because of the gender of the abuser?

Male victims of violent crime have little recourse at all, and zero recourse when their victimizer is female. That’s just the way it is. This is a hangover from true toxic masculinity: behaviors that men were taught, by their mothers as much as their fathers, and continue to participate in despite the overall consequences being generally self destructive.
Previous generations of men just never b*tched, no matter how hard life got. Younger generations still value that self sacrificing mindset. However, millions of boys have been raised by single mothers and are being taught almost exclusively by female teachers. Even if they hear “Big boys don’t cry!”, they see and hear girls and women crying and b*tching and getting results. They see it as an effective means to solve their problems. However, the entire system is still set up only to solve women’s problems. Cry and b*tch all you want, there are no shelters just for men and the few shelters that do take men will kick them out if women and/or juveniles need the space. If you call an abuse hotline, be prepared to be forwarded to resources for abusers. They won’t even hear your story. They’ll hear a man’s voice and decide that you are not a victim.
Erin Pizzey is the woman who opened the first shelter for women ever, in 1971. Her experience with abused women taught her that most abusive relationships are mutually abusive, but that the majority of abusers are women in relationships where the violence was one sided. So she set out to set up a shelter for abused men. Can you guess how her feminist former allies reacted to that? They threatened to kill her, they did kill her pets, and they threatened to burn to the ground any shelter for men, with Erin in it.
1971 was over half a century ago. This report on IPV is at least a decade old and it is an amalgamation of decades long research that came before.

An oppression Olympics is a bad way to deal with trama.

Some thing bad happened and you have to face it head on. Be it flood damage or fire damage a home is damage and a home needs to be secured to be a safe place.

Not to say you need different tools and different experiences to fix different damages but to say one is more damaging then the other is bad for the soul all around.

Neither home is safe anymore. Yet together can create something better.

I dated somebody that used to abuse me. I would never hit a woman so I just put up with it. I would restrain her after a while. I am not embarrassed about this. It would have been easy to fight back, I was more faid thaif I did fight back I might have really hurt her. Besides , she was abused as a kid and I knew she had some issues about it.
