Regular 2025 pennies will be collector's items, depending on the condition. Some historic coins are worth a lot of money.

The mint did strike a special, final batch of 232 three-coin sets, each containing a unique 24-karat gold penny and two last-circulating pennies (from Denver & Philly) with an Omega (Ω) symbol, auctioned in December 2025 to mark the end of production.
Those set are expected to auction for 2 to 5 million $ or more. People who invest that much money aren't stupid. They understand the potential future value.

I can sell MTG cards for enormous profit over the long term.

I once owned 4 Gaea's Cradles when they were only worth $20 each. Now the cards sale for $1500 each consistently.

If you keep strong MTG cards for 10 or 20 years, their value goes up exponentially and you can sell or trade them for enormous profit.

Buying a PENNY for a million dollars is stupid.

Buying a Black Lotus for a half-million dollars might make sense, because if you win the Vintage World Championships the prize is usually half a million dollars.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
That said it doesn't matter what dumb shit you collect whether it's Pennies, cards or whatever else. There's no end of people out there with disposable income to buy this crap
