Will conservatives cheer the death of Rob Reiner?

Question

Rob Reiner and his wife Michele have been found dead, apparently killed by their son. It is a tragic and stupid, senseless killing. Mr. Reiner provided a loud and frequent voice for the liberal faction in the US. In contrast to the death of Charlie Kirk, applauded by many liberals, I have not yet heard any conservative celebrate the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Reiner, or say something to the effect that "Rob Reiner deserved it." So why is it that liberals consider themselves to be more compassionate and caring than conservatives because. . . it isn't at all obvious!

Unless you’re a sick individual, no normal person would celebrate that, the whole thing is horrible and I would never think that being a conservative but it’s strange that liberals did when it happened to Charlie Kirk

I cannot speak for other people but I will not be cheering.

All three of them didn’t deserve to be murdered by in my opinion Rob and his wife had it worse than Charlie.

A stabbing death seems more brutal to me than gunshot death.

Charlie Kirk was killed by a stranger. He died by gunshot. Also it seemed like he died instantly.

Based on reports I have heard Rob and his wife were killed by their son.
getting killed by a family member is a lot worse in my opinion. Imagine giving birth and raising the person who eventually ends up murdering you. Also stabbings usually aren’t instant deaths so I would assume more than likely Rob and his wife was aware and saw the person who was stabbing them right before they died.

the thing about the liberal compassion is that it's actually not compassion. it's group thinking. it's doing what the status quo considers to be virtuous instead of what you think is virtuous cause why think about what you think is genuine virtue if the people around you disagree? that's the crux of it. true virtue may not feel good to the virtuous person. being liberal is about feeling good. not about being virtuous. it's being a die hard part of the herd even if the herd is running off a cliff. that's what it is.

I didn't agree with his politics but I respected the way he expressed them and his talent both in front of and behind the lens is irreplaceable.

As a conservative Christian person who is decidedly imperfect all I'm prepared to say is I grieve for his remaining family, who now have to face not only a Christmas season without their parents & grandparents, but also the knowledge that their brother is the reason they're gone.

It was more senseless violence. I don't care where you stand politically, there's no possible reason to suggest it was somehow deserved. Nobody deserves that.

Trump is 100% celebrating his death by making it about himself, as he does with literally everything that has ever happened in the known universe. So your question is answered right there. Reiner's professional career wasn't about politics like Kirk's was. He just so happened to be a liberal person who died and publically expressed it a tiny fraction of the number of times Kirk had his political opinions known. Those aren't even close to the same thing. It's a desperate reach to use his death as a way to attempt to score cheap political points thinking your party is better than the other for their reaction for it. It has backfired.

Originally I was going to write that I dont particularly care when killers die, but thats because I read it wrong.

So if I have it right a prominent left wing figure got killed by his own kid? Lock the kid up for life first of all. Second of all I don't even know who he is so maybe I disagree with the guy extremely, maybe i'd have liked him. But that part doesn't even matter because people just shouldn't be killed.

And I think thats because our side isn't some demonic force that hates life, we care about life regardless if we agree or disagree. We want the other side to be happy to within reason of course. Ultimately I want politics to favor everyone in the end, also those who I disagree with. And the same applies to the regular human decency of wanting them to have happy lives.

There are bound to be more than a few false flags by the lunatic left, disinformation reporting by the mainstream news, and rage baiting bots trying to make it appear as though the modern right is equally as wicked as the modern left. It’s simply not true.
That said, there is still a small, radical rightwing group of lunatics who might try to cash in on this tragedy for recognition that they don’t deserve. The biggest difference between them and their leftwing counterparts is that mainstream conservatives disavow radical rightwing groups early and often. The left doesn’t do that. They embrace the hatred and violence spread by their radical counterparts. Many of them are actively seeking means to be more radical themselves. They all want to murder someone who thinks, feels and votes differently from themselves.

Cannot imagine that scene watching each other be stabbed to death. Would any conservative be so quick thinking as to have a gun and shoot their son, if they went nuts? And if they did would they go to jail? There likely is no escape from the situation.

It's interesting, though not unexpected, that almost all media outlets post the rest of Trump's text, where he criticizes Reiner for having TDS.

Please provide words spoken by high level Liberals about Charlie Kirk that you believe are comparable to what Trump said about Reiner.
