True. They think they are and often they take this position if everything works fine. However when true leaders are necessary they disappear suddenly and the group they had the lead is without leadership unless a true leader is among them who can't handle leadership in crisis times.
The truth is, real leaders don't want leadership because they don't want burden of responsibility. Narcissist love when they stay in center of focus and they don't care about responsibility at all. That's why human societies are like they are.

Self absorbed people with charisma. thats the secret ingredient. and unfortunately people like Trump seem to have people fooled.

If you're self absorbed without it like sayyy Hilary Clinton then people are just gonna see you as self absorbed and won't like you. so you need 'the rizz' or 'the sauce' for it to work.

Yes though you have to be or at least pretend not to be to advocate for those who will follow, naturally a selfish desire may align with others but only selfish desire won't give that extra weight of formed loyalty that leaders need.

True. Morons tend to read confidence as intelligence and never question the ideas or decisions until after the massive failures. It's really common.

Nope. They perceive themselves that way, put on an act and everyone finds out when it's already too late.
