I mean... after completing a 30second thought experiment, in a weird way evolution (if you believe in that kind of thing) uses qualities of progressives and conservatives. Progressives to create variations of life for improvement and conservatives to keep the things that do work. It's balance. It's why politics in the 90s were so much better than today. Dems and Reps both disagreed on most things but they both agreed on a moral foundation for the betterment of the USA.
