Why do people think I’d be fine with casual racism?

I’ve had other white guys confide in me that they dislike this or that minority, drop the N word or say xenophobic comments. Do they assume because I’m white I too must be a racist?

I had to click on you, because you look black in your thumbnail🤣 I'd say it has more to do with them thinking you're a Conservative then you being White. At my previous job, most of my co-workers were Conservstive, so casual racism wasn't so frowned upon. Though one guy I worked with just started talking shit about black people and using the N word (hard R) when we were alone. I was surprised, considering he still didn't really know me yet. But then again, he said it to the security guard too, who he didn't know at all, so maybe he was like your buddies😂 But he got lucky, that we aren't snowflakes. In real life, I only do it when I see other people doing it. The guy was Irish-American, so maybe THAT'S why. In Europe, and actually most of the world, not just White countries, casual racism is completely normal. I know, because an Asian and an African were harassing and insulting my mother in Europe and I shouted some things, and no one cared.

I read that some White South Africans assumed Nea Zealand Whites would be racist, and they got quite a surprise. But then one of my professors said he was in a bar there and a local elblowed him and pointed at a Japanese guy and said, "You yanks sure showed THEM."🤣 See, I'M laughing, but my teacher found it shocking. So yeah, I think it has more to do with them thinking you're a Conservative.

I'M a White conservative and also have European roots, and I could care less about casual racism. I met an Estonian girl in the Caribbean once and she was casually reffering to black people as "neegers", and she said it's what they call them there. Ngl, it actually sounded sexy. I just told her not to say it to them or in front of them. My buddies would use it too, I'd just tell them not to scream it so loud when there's one around. One Greek girl on here said her also Greek boyfriend casually shouted in a restaurant there.

I saw another video where a black girl was in Korea and was chatting with a local guy and asked him about dating black girls and he said he doesn't want any n word er (hard r) babies. He wasn't even trying to be racist, that's just what they call them there.

One black American girl in Portugal complained to her teacher in email about using the N word in class, the teacher embarassed her in front of the whole class and said she's not gonna dictate what she can say in HER class in HER country.

Oh, I read another article were some White construction workers in TX were doing it to a black guy and some WHITE guy snitched on his behalf and the boss and co-workers called him a wigger and race traitor and were bullying him so much, he had to quit.

This only seems to a big deal to Anglo liberals, because no one else cares. So your buddies were either foreigners or conservatives, who thought you were also conservative. Or maybe they were trying to troll you and get under your skin, but it's more likely they thought you were Conservatives.

But I don't know. In my family and friend circle and where I grew up, casual racism was completely normal. A bunch of rednecks even started a KKK chapter at my high school. Even though I'm not a radical conservative or neo-Nazi, I grew up around casual racism, and that's just how me and my buddies talked, so it's not something that shocks me. I think you're just too sensative.

I think we are beyond caring about this shit anymore.

This term racist has been so overused for 40 years. It has lost all meaning.

We have seen enough non assimilating Muslims, and Somalians and Haitians and Syrians and huge groups from cultures 180 degrees from our own come here by the millions and not assimilate, start counter cultures and Islamic schools and mosques and get on government assistance... I think many have reached the point of no more.

Their culture is fine... in THEIR country. Quit immigrating all of these counter cultures here.

It isn't a benefit it is an invasive species.

Go back to school and learn what happens when you relocate certain species into ecosystems that already were at balance.

There is no such thing as casual racism. If you are racist, you believe someone of another race's inferior to you and you have the latitude to own or control them. Bigotry is an opinion. And racial discrimination is a choice.
