Many Democrats were upset last time because they couldn't participate in the Democratic process, but they just sat back and let the king do whatever he wanted.

There will be a primary, then his choice will suddenly just be the candidate, like in 2019 when Biden, who we all knew was senile, was made the candidate after the South Carolina primary, despite his absolutely abysmal performance vs. all the others who had gone through the primaries.

Great observation. There were about 25 candidates on that primary stage and Joe Biden was by far the worst.
Of course the worst somehow won.

There will be a primary. I would like to see Tim Walz, who probably won't run, and Gavin Newsome who I think is likely to run. I also like Gretchen Whitmer and Marie Glusenkamp Perez, but I doubt either will run. I like AOC but I don't think she's electable. Buttegieg would be very good but I don't think he's electable either.

I'm torn, on the one hand, I'm leary of stating who would actually have a shot of winning. On the other hand, I know that if I think he's got a shot of winning, the Dem's wouldn't vote for him. What to do what to do?
