Why do people talk about me like I can't hear them?

When I am at work or in public sometime I hear people young or old talking about me in a bad way because they don't know me. They either say I am Ugly, look like a dude or why is she smiling too much. These people are adults and are acting like a teenager. I have tired wearing makeup more, ignoring people and even doing things to make myself more feminine looking. I am tired of having to please other people and tired of people talking about me as if I can't hear them.

Ignore them. Folk say I'm too cover boy handsome, articulate and don't "sound" black.

Some people are simply rude. Ignore them and live your life however you want and be happy.

They were looking right at me as they're saying it so some of it's not in my head.

Do you have any family member of friend that can confirm this happening? If not, it's only happening in your head and you should talk to mental health experts.

I can't afford mental healthcare that's why I asked questions on here.

The reason for my question is, we have a blue member here, who for years now, insists that everybody he comes in contact with, calls him a "faqqot". Women on the street, store personnel, even court clerks on Zoom calls. Of course these are delusions and no one in his family believes him. But because he insists this to be real, he doesn't need mental healthcare. I guess you can see the parallel?

I see why you asked this. I work in the public at a grocery store there are some nice people but then there are jerks. Even the employees can be rude, I can tell some people but not others about things.
