I'm a really shy person but I've been trying to talk more to people so that I can make more friends. It seems like people don't really care about me tho. I feel like they only want to talk when they need something or a similar kind of situation. Like today, a couple of my classmates were talking, and one of them asked me a question, so I answered and then started listening to them. When I also try to say something after, no one really acknowledges and I tried like 3 times to try adding something/asking something. They just slightly turn but keep talking among themselves. Also I'm pretty sure I was only asked because I'm the only one who sits next to them, and one of them was trying to prove a point about some topic.
The worst part is those two aren't even friends but still talk because of the seating arrangement. No one ever starts talking to me or really cares when I talk to them... I feel frustrated since I'm already really shy and my efforts aren't going anywhere.
