What is the best and worst NYE you ever had and what was the detail around it?

I think NYE celebrations tend to change quite a bit though your 20s / 30s / 40s etc.

So , I also had plenty of really good ones , similar in ways described by others here.. but my bad on one was NOT good , Melbourne NYE could be extremely violent in CBD in these times , I was 21 / 22 or so , I was bashed and had a knife held to my throat , I spent from around 3am - 8am in Emergency room in Sandringham hospital , mainly concussion and got home , extremely sleep deprived..

I had many fun New Years Eves when I was younger. One year I was invited to a party one of my former classmates was giving. I really did not want to go but I told him I would be there. I decided that I would go early and then sneak out after a while. I got there very early and there was nobody there yet. There was a girl that was there. She was the friend of my friend's younger sister. I thought she was very nice and we hung out together the whole night. We had an awesome kiss at midnight and after the party broke up we went for a walk on the beach and sat in my truck and listened to tunes until the sun came up. We dated for almost a year after that until she dumped me and went back to her old boyfriend from high school. I really cannot think of a bad one. Since I got older they are all the same.

Drove over broken glass on my way home and the tire gave up inside a tunnel, which meant the police had to come to secure the tunnel. My spare tire (never inspected) was also flat. The towtruck took two hours to arrive because of the high workload and delivered my car to the wrong dealer. I think I arrived home at seven in the morning and just crashed into bed. 😵😵😵

I'm enjoying life now, this is the best with wife and family. we are entertaining the kids and eating and enjoying life.

in the past Id rarely go out, but I was alone, I made fun, but this is better.

I used to go to New Year's parties in my late teens and 20's, but for some reason, someone would always have way too much to drink 🍷🍻 and throw up on me.
I stopped going to them after it happened and few times.

Never had a good or bad one. Just was okay. But I was scared in 1999 and kinda had to pray to God that we would be okay because we thought the world was going to end and there wasn't going to be a 2000.
